The
"Al Menah Singles Group" was founded by Dorris B. Calvin and Nadine
Mason in February 2000.
The group was
organized to provide fellowship for Al Menah's extended family of active members
who have contributed to the Temple through many years of service and now
find themselves alone. Each person in the group has shared the unifying
experience of having lost their marital partner. Planned as a social group,
meetings, parties and frequent trips compose the major focus of the programs.
In order to
qualify for membership, a person must be a single member of Al Menah Shrine
Center or the unmarried widow of a deceased Al Menah Shriner who was a member in
good standing at the time of his death.
The dues are
only $24.00 a year. A mere $2.00 a month for some great fellowship!
Meetings are
monthly at the Al Menah Shrine Center except for those months when Parties,
Trips or other group functions take the place of the regular meetings.
