Paper Sale Caravan Hits Franklin

Don Young Makes His Escape

Nobles,

What a meeting we had last night, again with almost 50 in attendance even though there was a Third Degree going on at Hiram at the same time!  We had at least 5 of our members who were at Hiram.

National Sojourners, Albert Stockell, Jim Howard and Bill Minneci came to our meeting to present their “Building the Flag” program.  WOW, it was a fantastic thing!  This kind of thing makes you proud to be a Mason / Shriner and an American.

Bill Minneci announced that he and his neighbors in Sunnyside Estates (off of Hillsboro RD) will again be presenting their Christmas Light Show.  Many of you may have seen this in the past and may not realize that they do this for the Shriners Hospitals for Children.  He said that last year they raised over $5,000.00.  If you are out that way anytime after Thanksgiving stop on by, take a look and drop a couple of bucks in the bucket.  It's For the Kids!

Busy December coming up.  Watch for these events:

*12/5 - Friday Night / Nashville Christmas Parade / Shrine Center Open House & Tree Lighting after the Parade.

*12/6 - Fairview Christmas Parade AM / Franklin Christmas Parade PM / Several Al Menah Clowns will be coming to be in the parade here in Franklin. We will be providing Hospitality once we figure out what Clowns like to eat!  We did hear from Oriental Guide and Clown Dennis Belford that "cannibals don't eat clowns because they taste funny"!  We are trying to line up a fancy vehicle for the Club Officers to ride in during the parade!

*12/9 - Slater Bonding Party / Fiddling Still in Printers Alley 4:30PM

*12/15 - Hospital Patient's Christmas Party at the Shrine Center in Nashville

***NOTE: I was stopped by Assistant Rabban David Wantland, also a member of the National Sojourners, and Gaylon Mays, Hospital Transportation Driver, to tell me the importance of this night.  The Children now being served by Al Menah at the Shriners Hospitals will be there at this event.  They tell me you just have to see these kids to know how Great the work of the Shrine Hospitals really is!!!

*12/16 - Al Menah Stated Meeting and Election of officers.

Hospitality at: the Quality Inn & Comfort Inn.

*12/18 – The WCSC December meeting will be our Christmas meeting.  It has been suggested that we play “Dirty Santa” and each bring a gift of about $10.00 value marked male or female for our party.

Note:  You can still come to the meeting and not play Dirty Santa.

*12/19 – Friday all day / Shrine Ceremonial at the Shrine Center ending with the Shrine Arch which everyone needs to see.

*12/31 – New Years Eve Party at the Shrine Center

1/15/2009 6:00 PM - The WCSC January meeting and installation of officers. Ray Lynch, Al Menah Membership Committee Chairman, will present a program of interest to all of us.

Lots to do during the Holiday Season.  Come on out and get involved.  You will have fun!
